Student Opportunities

~If any high school juniors are interested in the arts (writing, theater, cinematic arts, voice, visual arts, photography, dance, jazz, or music), you are eligible to apply for the youngARTS program for next year.  The deadline is in October, and the only financial obligation is a small application fee; those who are selected get a week of workshops and performances in Miami all-expenses paid! Everyone selected gets between $1,000 and $10,000, and it’s the only way to be nominated for the Presidential Scholar in the Arts.  Those who get the $5,000 or $10,000 award get another all-expenses paid week, this time to New York.  It’s basically heaven for high school artists!  For those interested, contact Amy Poag at The Davidson Center for more information.  704-892-4533
